Minnesota River Newsletter

Dear Minnesota River Families,

We've had a good time being back at school after the long break.  Students came back ready to work and play, and we had a number of very peaceful, industrious stretches of time.  Many different works are happening, including animal research, ongoing country studies for the third years, and first years sprawled on the floor with blue triangles, building various quadrilaterals.  We removed a table from the room, and this has opened up the space to make room for all the floor-work.

This past week's lessons: First Year's Geometry: Building Polygons with specific triangle, Geography: States of the USA--Midwest, History: Parts of the Year
Second Years Geometry: Convex and Reflex Angles, Geography: Biomes, History: Horizontal Study of Fundamental Needs

As is usually the case, we do have a few requests, if you are able to get out this weekend.  We would love to have the following items:

  • Vinyl (water proof) cloth to cover a table (picnic table size)

  • Small paper plates

  • Paper Napkins

  • Air dry clay

  • Flowers

Thanks so much, all of you.  Have a great week.

Best,
Erik and Patrick
